The new Silenzio has the same knob and switch that you found on the previous generation Mignon Mk 2, which is a good thing because it was always very easy to operate. The switch is for the timer or manual mode while the knob is for the regulation of the timer. As the name suggests, the main difference with the previous generation is the silence. Thanks to an anti-vibration system called silent technology the coffee grinder is up to 20 dB quieter than the previous Mk 2. In practical terms this means being able to grind your coffee shot and be able to talk with anyone around you. The coffee grinder is also fitted with a system that eliminates the electrostatic charge of the ground coffee avoiding the clumps being formed and giving you a uniform and consistent ground coffee. Lift the serving station off the brewer and put it wherever you want to serve the coffee.
